The Lahore Traffic Police has issued a public advisory detailing traffic diversions for heavy and slow-moving vehicles traveling from Mall Road toward Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday, October 28.

Restrictions on Arterial and Connecting Roads

Under the operational traffic plan, vehicular movement along the corridor connecting Mall Road to Gaddafi Stadium will be redirected. The regulatory measures extend beyond the primary transit corridor, placing restrictions on connecting roads adjacent to the affected route to prevent unauthorized vehicles from crossing or merging into the restricted lanes during the closure period.

City traffic authorities have called on motorists and daily commuters to steer clear of non-essential transit across key thoroughfares, including Mall Road, Canal Road, and Main Ferozepur Road. Drivers traveling across these zones are encouraged to identify and use alternative routes to reduce congestion and avoid potential travel delays.

Public Advisory and Navigation Guidance

To support urban transit during the enforcement of these diversions, the traffic department has asked citizens to schedule and plan their travel itineraries ahead of departure. Maintaining awareness of active road closures and following police guidance will be essential to avoiding inconvenience throughout the day.

Motorists seeking real-time situational updates, diversion details, and alternative navigation routes can tune in to the department’s dedicated radio broadcast service, Rasta FM. Additionally, drivers requiring immediate information or on-road guidance can contact the Traffic Police Helpline directly by dialing 15.
