Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and startup operators are set to gather in Boston on November 4 for the TechCrunch Founder Summit, an event designed to facilitate targeted industry connections and practical business discussions. Hosted at the SoWa Power Station and presented by Fidelity Private Shares, the summit kicks off at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time for a full day of programming focused on scaling early-stage companies.

Structured Networking Powered by Braindate

A primary focus of the summit is moving away from unstructured mixer formats in favor of intentional peer-to-peer discussions. Central to this approach is the Founder Summit Networking Lounge, powered by the Braindate platform. The system allows participants to coordinate scheduled one-on-one and small-group conversations centered on specific topics, questions, and operational challenges.

The networking infrastructure is designed to extend themes discussed across the main stage. For instance, attendees who listen to Kent Bennett discuss strategies for navigating product-market fit can transition to targeted lounge discussions with fellow founders working through similar development stages. Similarly, participants observing live startup pitch sessions before venture capital panels can connect immediately afterward to exchange notes on fundraising preparation.

Programming, Breakouts, and Side Events

In addition to scheduled lounge discussions, the event schedule incorporates an array of formats tailored to early-stage development. Speaker Chase Garbarino will address founders on the practicalities and ecosystem dynamics of building tech companies in Boston, with corresponding discussions organized for regional operators.

Throughout the venue, roundtables will host smaller, topic-driven groups, while interactive breakout sessions will feature on-stage panellists taking direct questions from attendees. An on-site Expo Hall will host company partners and attendees throughout the day, concluding with a networking reception designed to allow investors and operators to continue talks without the rush of scheduled programming.

The programming footprint will also extend beyond the walls of the SoWa Power Station. Official side events are scheduled across Boston throughout the week, offering further opportunities for regional and visiting startup communities to interact.

Registration and Access

Organizers have noted that promotional access packages, including discounts of up to $100 and buy-one-get-one-free ticket offerings, remain available in the final days leading up to the summit before door pricing takes effect on November 4.
