Infrastructure Adjustments on Shahra-e-Quaideen

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced plans to remove two traffic signals along Shahra-e-Quaideen, one of the city’s primary thoroughfares. The initiative is intended to facilitate smoother vehicular movement across the busy arterial route.

Transition to U-Turns for Traffic Flow

Under the proposed traffic reorganization plan, the civic administration will replace the conventional signal-controlled intersections with designated U-turns. The implementation of U-turns aims to maintain continuous movement along the roadway and minimize delays associated with standard signal cycles.

Shahra-e-Quaideen serves as a central connector within Karachi’s urban road network, handling substantial daily commuter volumes. KMC’s planned modifications represent a targeted structural intervention to address congestion and improve road network efficiency along the major corridor.
