Saudi Arabian airline Flynas is preparing to broaden its flight operations across Pakistan by adding a new direct international route connecting Jeddah and Sialkot.
According to a source familiar with the matter, the carrier plans to introduce three weekly flights operating between the two destinations, with the launch targeted to take place within November.
High-Level Talks at Sialkot International Airport
The operational move follows direct discussions held between representatives from Flynas and the management of Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL). A five-member airline delegation traveled to the airport for the meeting, led by Flynas Pakistan Country Manager Manzoor Thanvi.
SIAL leadership participating in the talks included Chairman Malik Abdul Ghafoor, Business Development Committee Convenor Mian Naeem Javed, and Chief Executive Officer AVM Tanweer Ashraf Bhatti (retd.). During the exchange, Ghafoor welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed enthusiasm regarding the airline’s planned expansion into Sialkot International Airport.
Expanding Air Links and Regional Connectivity
The proposed flight schedule aims to enhance air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Once established, the direct flights will provide travelers residing in Sialkot and surrounding districts with an alternative international connection to the kingdom.
From the airport’s perspective, securing scheduled service with Flynas expands SIAL’s operational portfolio of international airlines. SIAL authorities noted that the addition is set to advance the airport’s wider role in facilitating international travel, regional trade, and commercial connectivity.
