Quwat Services Private Limited has secured formal industry recognition for its fintech platform, Cashyn, which received the Merit Award at the P@SHA ICT Awards 2026. The platform was honored in the Inclusion and Community category, specifically under the Community Services and Regional, Rural and Remote Services stream.
Organized by the Pakistan IT Industry Association, the P@SHA ICT Awards serve as a premier platform for evaluating innovation, operational scale, and societal impact across the domestic technology sector. Cashyn received the accolade after entering the market in 2025, establishing itself within roughly a year as a significant driver of branchless financial access across the country.
Addressing the Rural Banking Deficit
The platform was designed to extend formal financial infrastructure beyond traditional banking channels. In Pakistan, the structural divide between cash transactions and digital services remains substantial. Data from the World Bank’s Global Findex 2025 indicates that approximately 1.3 billion adults across the globe lack access to a formal financial account, with more than half of that population concentrated in just eight countries, including Pakistan.
The unbanked population in Pakistan is heavily weighted toward rural and remote areas where physical banking infrastructure is sparse and cash remains the primary medium of exchange. For residents of these communities, routine financial tasks such as paying utility bills or transferring funds to family members often require hours of travel to reach the nearest bank branch or automated teller machine.
Cashyn addresses this geographical limitation by transforming neighborhood retail shops and local micro-entrepreneurs into digital financial access points. Through this framework, residents can make cash deposits, complete withdrawals, settle utility bills, and execute domestic transfers within their local communities. Functioning as a super-agent for major banks and mobile wallet providers, the system extends regulated financial instruments into previously underserved areas, utilizing digital electronic Know Your Customer protocols to register and activate new merchants in seconds.
Gender Inclusion and Network Growth
This localized retail model addresses persistent accessibility barriers for populations that face structural friction in accessing formal finance, particularly women. In Pakistan, women remain significantly less likely than men to hold a formal financial account. For many female consumers residing outside urban centers, conducting transactions at a familiar neighborhood merchant provides a practical alternative to navigating distant banking facilities.
Since its launch in 2025, Cashyn has scaled rapidly across both urban and rural territories. The platform has developed an operational footprint comprising more than 16,000 active merchants across upwards of 120 cities. Operational metrics show that the platform has processed over 37 million individual transactions, accounting for a total volume exceeding PKR 91 billion.
Significantly, PKR 52 billion of that total—representing roughly 57 percent of all transaction volume—originated from rural and remote areas. The company cites this distribution as confirmation that digital financial inclusion can be sustainably deployed at commercial scale.
Restructuring Enterprise Cash Logistics
Beyond consumer-facing retail transactions, the merchant network developed by Quwat Services Private Limited underpins its business-to-business corporate cash collection operations. Enterprises operating extensive distribution and retail footprints in Pakistan have traditionally relied on conventional cash-in-transit logistics, utilizing armored transport vehicles, manual count procedures, and protracted end-of-day reconciliations.
These traditional methods frequently encounter high operational overhead, delayed settlement times, and exposure to administrative error, theft, and fraud. To streamline this workflow, the company deploys a distributed retail collection network consisting of more than 4,000 designated outlets across the country.
Under this arrangement, corporate clients deposit cash locally at designated retail points, with transaction records reflecting immediately via real-time operational dashboards rather than awaiting physical transit and manual processing. Enterprise partners utilizing this infrastructure have reduced cash logistics expenditures by as much as 60 percent. Additionally, one of Pakistan’s major apparel retailers recorded a threefold acceleration in its daily cash turnaround cycles using the platform.
The distributed architecture provides financial utility across the commercial chain: corporate enterprises decrease transport risk and operational expenses, retail shop owners receive fee revenue on transaction processing, and previously unrecorded physical cash transactions are captured within an audited digital ecosystem.
Executive Perspective and Expansion Road Map
Commenting on the industry award, Muhammad Saad Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Quwat Services Private Limited, framed the recognition as validation of the organization’s foundational operating strategy.
“To see Cashyn recognised among Pakistan’s leading technology initiatives is not just an award for a product. It is recognition of the mission, the execution, the resilience and the people behind QSPL,” Khan said. He noted that developing localized access points remains vital where standard institutional branch networks do not reach, adding that more than half of the platform’s processed volume stems directly from rural and remote areas.
“From building infrastructure on the ground to creating access where traditional financial channels remain limited, we are proving that financial inclusion can be built at scale, and that it is only complete when it reaches every member of a household, including the women,” Khan said.
Following the recognition at the P@SHA ICT Awards, Quwat Services Private Limited is advancing plans to expand its operational footprint. The enterprise intends to scale its corporate cash collection infrastructure, broaden the reach of Cashyn, and accelerate the rollout of Flyp, its dedicated platform for enterprise-level financial disbursements and collections, targeted at underserved regions throughout Pakistan.
