Authorities in Islamabad have been instructed to finalize two significant road infrastructure developments, following directives issued by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Focus on Key Capital Corridors
The directives center on advancing the completion timelines for the Margalla Road extension to the motorway as well as the Sangjani Interchange project. Both initiatives represent critical arterial connections intended to upgrade the federal capital’s transport layout and highway integration.
Minister Naqvi instructed the relevant administrative and development bodies to ensure that work on both projects reaches completion, setting clear operational expectations for the execution teams managing the sites.
Infrastructure Connectivity
The extension of Margalla Road toward the motorway is planned to alleviate congestion and streamline transit between Islamabad and neighboring intercity routes, while the Sangjani Interchange serves as a key access hub along the network.
Officials tasked with overseeing the capital’s development projects are expected to align ongoing construction and logistical timelines with the interior minister’s directives to conclude work on both sites.
